The next round of Anti-Polio Campaign in Faisalabad district will be launched on June 7, which will continue till June 11.
During the five days round, as many as 1,326937 children up to age of five years would be administered anti-polio drops across the district.
The health department will form 3,549 teams for vaccination who will visit door to door to ensure hundred percent coverage and make the campaign a success.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali was informed during the meeting of District Polio Eradication Committee held here.
ADCG Khurram Pervaiz, Health Authority CEO Dr Mushtaq Sipra, DO Health Dr Bilal Ahmad and other officers of departments concerned attended the meeting.
The DC directed that before the campaign, all necessary arrangements should be completed keeping in view of micro-plan so that shortcomings could be rectified.
He clarified that every round of polio was important, therefore the training of relevant staff should be completed before time besides for awareness of parents all out resources should utilize.
He said that all arrangements should be made at tehsil level and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. He also cleared that corona SOPs should be followed as per guidelines by the vaccination teams.
Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner (City) Syed Ayub Bukhari took action against butchers and chicken sellers for overcharging consumers. He got registered case against 9 shopkeepers besides imposing heavy fine on the butchers.
He checked butcher and chicken shops throughout the city areas on public complaints and arrested the profiteers for violating official rate.
He said the overcharging of essential items and meat would not tolerated and violators will be put behind the bars.
