The city’s administration has imposed a micro smart lockdown in three towns of the Central district after a rise in coronavirus cases.
The three towns include areas of Gulberg, Liaquatabad, and North Nazimabad.The entry and exit points of the areas will be sealed till May 30. According to a notification, pillion riding will be banned in these areas.
People have been instructed to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary and a ban has been placed on public and religious gatherings.Medical and grocery stores in the areas will, however, remain open
Meanwhile, the provincial government has announced that it will soon start mobile Covid-19 vaccination at the public places across all districts.
The decision was taken today to help expand immunisation coverage in the province.Vaccines will be administered through vans in industrial areas, shopping centres and universities.
Separate arrangements will be made to give the vaccine to industrial workers. Special units will be set up in industrial zones.
In Karachi, mobile vaccination units will be set up at Sea View, shopping plazas and in industrial zones.
