KARACHI – Pakistani actress Salma Zafar Asim said that she personally allowed her husband to marry a second time rather than having affairs with other women
The actress made this disclosure during a recent podcast.
“I got married more than 18 years ago. I even got my identity card made after the marriage and the result of my intermediate exams came after the marriage. There is a 5-year age difference between my husband and me. We have two daughters and one son. In fact, my mother-in-law taught me how to run the household. Whatever I am today is because of her,” said the actress.
She said “When I first heard about Asim’s friendships with other women, the first three months were very difficult. I lost my appetite but after that, I spoke to my father-in-law, and together we decided that Asim could marry again,”.
Salma also explained that she suggested Asim to marry again instead of having illicit affairs with other women. She said that she also convinced the children to support the second marriage.
After an accident that Asim had, she told the children that if they wanted to see their father with them and not in a grave, they should accept his second marriage.
“After that, my son told me that if I don’t cry after Asim’s second marriage, he would be okay with it. And that’s when my husband married again,” said the actress.
She also said that she accepted her step-son as her own and treated him with love.
“I have not three but four children now, because love between my children is just like that of real siblings,” she added.
