District administration took sharp action against the “Chain Mafia” in Galiyats who cheat the tourists during the snow fall in the area and charges them higher for the “chains” used by the tourists for their vehicles to avoid slip on the snow covered roads.
Unprecedented flow of tourist has been witnessed during the current winter season and despite the snow fall, large number of tourists are visiting hilly areas of Abbottabad district especially Nathiagali, Donga Gali, Bara Gali, Ayubia and tiring efforts are being made by the district administration and GDA (Galiyat Development Authority) to clear the roads and provide maximum security to the tourists with special service offered by the “tourism Police”.
On the complaint of one of foreign embassy tourist from Islamabad, extra Assistant commissioner Ameen-ul-Hassan has arrested one Shakeel for cheating the tourist and dogging them with highest charges of the “Chain” for the vehicle Tyers and was later handed over to the local police for registration of case.
Deputy commissioner Abbottabad has notified all tourists to get help from the free help Centre established by the district administration especially on holidays where assistant commissioner is deputed to provide full time assistance to the visitors.
In the meantime, DC Abbottabad Mughees Sanaullah has deputed Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Mujtba Barhawana, Additional Assistant Commissioners, Marvi Malik, Akkasha Kiran and Asif Iqbal to monitor the ongoing NTS tests held at least five centers and had also cancelled the papers of at least 12 candidates for using mobile phones in the examination centers.
