Action demanded against crush plants

Director North of Environmental Protection Agency Abbottabad has demanded action against 7 Crush Plants from Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad as EPA with district administration has sealed them but they all had de-sealed them and had started opera-tion.

In a letter No 495-96, director EPA has asked the DC vide letter that “Official of the agency with additional commissioner –III Abbottabad, represen-tatives of mines, Minerals and Industry Department sealed all the stone crusher units at Thandiyani Road, gumahawan and Dara Abbottabad in violation of provision of KPK Environmental Protection Act 2014 an din violation of Law/rules of Industry and Minerals Department on 25/03/22.”

And on revisit of the area on the complaints of the local residents found that owners of 7 units had de-sealed and had broken the official seals which includes, Al-Khalid Stone Crusher, Aurangzeb Khan Stone crusher.
