The Anti-corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab has arrested five people including three government servants and a Proclaimed Offender (PO) from different cities of the province.
ACE has arrested the proclaimed offender namely Sohail Abbas in Case FIR No 386/12 & 379/11. According to the inquiry, the accused as Ahlmad in court had removed documents from the court file and deliberately misplaced the file in other case to give benefit to one party for vested interests.
In another raid, ACE has arrested three accused namely Muhammad Asif, the Patwari, Arshad and Mustafa in Case FIR. 01/2020 from Kasur.
The accused persons in connivance with revenue functionaries got transferred land measuring 2kanal & 9 marla of Imam Bargah in favour of themselves through fraud and forgery.
ACE Punjab has also conducted successful trap raid and arrested accused namely Muhammad Siddique, the Head Clerk Zilla Council Gujrat, for taking bribe amounting to RS. 1,00,000 and tainted amount was recovered from the accused.
A case FIR 10/2022 has been registered against the delinquent. According to the FIR, the accused received a bribe from the Complainant for the approval of the building plan.
