A year after the abrogation of Article 370, the people living in the Ladakh region of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have expressed serious concern over their land and jobs with most of them demanding restoration of pre-August 5, 2019 status of the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, not only the opposition parties, but the people from ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the region have also expressed resentment about the identity loss and growing hopelessness among the local population.
The political leaders told media that Ladakh would suffer immensely in times to come, saying that the worries for people won’t end and the insecurity among the people would mount amid fears of loss of identity, jobs, land, culture and rich identity.—INP
