Abbasi sees economy in dire straits

PML-N senior leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said that the country is passing through a very critical economic situation and we have to pay a heavy price of the reckless political decisions.

Talking to media persons in Islamabad, the PML-N leader said the government had not raised the prices of petroleum products. “Government is trying to put less and less pressure of the IMF conditions on masses,” Abbasi said adding that the condition of economy had been wobbly for the last four years.

He maintained that the new government was trying to fix the woes, the previous PTI government had burdened Pakistan with. He said that the economic rout was all the more obvious when we compared today’s economic situation with that of the situation in 2018. —APP
