Abbasi fears NAB chief appointed for life

Former prime minister and PML-N senior leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has deplored that NAB Chairman Justice ® Javed Iqbal has been retired four days ago but the government has not started any consultation process for the appointment of a new chief as yet believing that the incumbent seems to be appointed for life.

Talking to media on Tuesday, the PML-N leader said that accountability circus was going on in the country.

Now the government has become a part of it, he stated adding that only one person (NAB chief) was responsible for conducting the accountability process and the government did not want to let him go because it wanted to conceal its own theft.—INP
