Note human rights attorney Clive Stafford Smith left for the US after visiting Pakistan in connection with the case of DrAafia Siddiqui.  He said that for securing the release of Aafia Siddiqui it is a must that the government of Pakistan writes a letter to the US administration. However, this letter is still awaited.

On the other hand, a very important hearing of the case regarding DrAafia Siddiqui in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) is scheduled on Friday, October 18. In the previous hearing the attorney general of Pakistan had said that the government will file its application along with the clemency motion of Clive Smith. However, Clive Smith has already accelerated his efforts in the US on this case.

He considers the letter from the government of Pakistan crucial for Aafia release. He said the supporters of Aafia Siddiqui should write clemency letters politely to the US President Joe Biden at his address
