Punjab governor unveils mega water supply project assuring its transparency, sustainability

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has announced the largest project of the Aab-e-Pak Authority in Punjab which will be implemented across the province without any political discrimination.
While addressing a ceremony at the Punjab House that was attended by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Information Minister Fawad Ahmad Chaudhry, Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Ministers of State Farrukh Habib, Zartaj Gul, Parliamentary Secretaries Dr Noshin Hamid, Malaika Bukhari, Members of Assembly and other ministers and notable personalities, the governor gave an outline of the project according to which six filtration plants will be installed in each constituency of the National Assembly in Punjab whereas 3 Filtration plants (each) will be installed in all constituencies of the Provincial Assembly.
They (the ministers) expressed full confidence in the performance of the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority and also appreciated the steps taken by Governor Punjab.
Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar hosted a reception at the Punjab House Islamabad in honour of the ministers and members of the National Assembly from Punjab regarding the projects of Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority.
Chairman Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority Dr Shakeel Ahmed briefed the audience about the ongoing projects of Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority while Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser appreciated the Authority and said that such authority should also be set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing the reception, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that regardless of major challenges, the bureaucracy of Punjab, the Federal government, the Punjab government and the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority were on the same page.
The provision of clean drinking water will not be delayed even for a minute and PAPA will be working diligently in this regard.
We will also install filtration plants in the constituencies where the opposition parties’ leaders have been successful as the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority will ensure the provision of safe drinking water without any political discrimination, said Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar adding that the previous governments spent billions of rupees on clean drinking water projects but their performance remained zero and all their filtration plants were shut down but Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority will not only be completely corruption-free but we will ensure that all filtration plants continue to provide clean drinking water to the public.
