ISLAMABAD – The alleged leak of A-Level Business Studies paper triggered widespread outrage among students, who claim their year-long preparation has been undermined. The incident intensified anger and renewed serious concerns over the credibility and security of Cambridge examination procedures.
Concerns over examination security resurfaced in Pakistan after reports emerged that an A-Level Business Studies paper from Cambridge International was allegedly leaked and circulated online shortly before or during the examination period.
The leakd paper was shared across multiple platforms, with different papers reportedly appearing online at the same time. Among these, one has been identified as the A-Level Business Studies paper, while another is said to be an O-Level IGCSE Mathematics paper. The authenticity of all circulating materials has not been independently verified by Pakistan Observer.
The development comes shortly after Cambridge International acknowledged separate incident involving A-Level Mathematics paper.
Earlier, Cambridge confirmed that the paper had been prematurely shared across multiple regions, including Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Pakistan, and South Asia, in violation of examination regulations.
As of May 5, Cambridge International representatives in Pakistan have not issued an official statement regarding the alleged Business Studies paper leak. The repeated nature of such incidents has prompted renewed attention on exam security procedures and the integrity of international examination systems operating across multiple countries.
Students, parents, and educational stakeholders are seeking clarification from authorities, while questions remain over how exam materials are being accessed and disseminated prior to official examination schedules.
