A kind Mamnoon showered Rs90m as honorarium against rules to staffers

Former president Mamnoon Hussain proved to be quite lenient in rewarding the staff members during his tenure, as it is said that he distributed an amount of around Rs90 million as honorarium against rules and regulations, it was learnt on Friday. This honorarium was disbursed on every important event and festival as Mamnoon awarded the President House staffers with an amount of Rs9 million on Eidul Azha in 2017-18. Another amount of Rs8.8 million were given in connection with Seerat Conference and Quaid-e-Azam Day as well as Rs9 million on March 23. Moreover, the staff members received Rs17.4 million as honorariums at the end of the financial year. In 2016, a similar amount was Rs7.3 million which was given on Independence Day and Rs7.8 million on Quaid-e-Azam Day. Meanwhile, the honorarium amount totalled Rs17.7 million in 2015-16 and Rs7.9 million in 2014-15. —INP
