The Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani has said that the Commissioner Office [his office] will extend its full support and assistance for holding CLF every year. He said that he will play his due role to give institutionalize shape to the CLF for holding every year in a proper manner. This he said while distributing best performance awards among children of various schools, artists, prominent personalities and others at his office here.
The Awards Ceremony was held in simple but in impressive manner. The Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani has said that we will sign an agreement with CLF Authorities to hold such festival every year with full cooperation of all stake holders. He has congratulated to all recipients for performing their best contributions in recently held CLF.
He has further said that our children now a variety of choices to choose whatever they like as compare to us as we had not any choice [to become a doctor or engineer], but they have lot of options to choose and become singer, actor and join any field whatever they seems right or wrong, which is a good sign and positive for their lives.
The Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani gave away the awards to the writers, artists and other professionals who contributed in the Children Literary Festival held successfully at Karachi Arts Council recently. Awards were also given to the Children of different schools who developed and prepared posters/banners highlighting the messages and slogans for creation of awareness of children for the importance of education, writing and literature.
Those who received the awards included well-known Artista Khuda Bux Abro, a classical dancer, writer, and women, rights activist Sheema Kirmani, Quintessential musician Asif Sinnan, Dr Fauzia Khan, Syed Nusrat Ali, Saba Mehmood, play writer theater teacher Atif Mehmood, digital expert Sabaq, and Project Coordinator of Children Literature Festival Sehrish Farooq and others were given shields by the Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani for contributing their skills and talent to make the Children Literature Festival a successful event. Chief of CLF Bella Raza and Director CLF Roomana Hussain and others were also present on the occasion.
