Vice President of the Insaf Women Wing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Neelum Toru has welcomed lifting of lockdown as ‘a result of successful policy of the government to impose Smart Lockdown to control the spread of Covid-19 in the country.’
Talking to the party workers here on Tuesday, PTI leader said when the Prime Minister talked about smart lockdown instead of complete lockdown, the opposition particularly chairman PPP opposed it for the sake of politics but the world saw that the prime minister was right and the smart lockdown policy turned out to be the best policy to encounter coronavirus.
Today, his strategy is recognized worldwide and other countries are learning from Pakistan’s success against Covid-19. She said the policies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government were commendable in coping with the corona pandemic.
Today, even Bill Gates, the renowned US magnet and businessman is compelled to laud Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against the Covid-19 outbreak, said Toru referring to Bill Gates’ telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Imran Khan earlier in the day.
‘Fortunately Pakistan has minimum loss of lives as compared to other countries, now our economy is back on track and economic activities started again,’ she said. She said there was no cure to coronavirus in the world.
‘The only way to prevent gatherings and follow the guidelines provided by the government,’ she added.
She agreed with the decision of the government to lift the lockdown as it was needed for the hour to boost economic activities.
However, she cautioned that the threat was not over. ‘In order to check the spread of corona pandemic as the main key for prevention from coronavirus, we need to strictly observe social distancing,’ PTI leader maintained.
She advised the people to remain at home and voluntarily isolate themselves although the restrictions were no more.
