Badin
Widespread rains coupled with thunderstorm and strong winds swept through Badin and adjoining parts of the district on Sunday morning. Most parts of district district including Seerani, Talhar, Golarchi, Bhugra Memon, Kadhan, Tando Bago, Behdmi, Matli and others towns & cities of district received moderate rainfall along with strong winds that started at around mid-day and continued for several hours.
Rainwater accumulated in low-lying several areas of city Badin and other towns forcing people to remain indoors. A major part of the district plunged into darkness due to a massive power breakdown that occurred soon after it started raining at around the mid.of the day.
When a brief but heavy spell of rain submerged many thoroughfares and low-lying areas of the city, causing traffic jams and depriving vast city areas of power. Almost half of the Badin’s roads and localities were flooded with sewage-mixed rainwater.
