The Punjab University and Hebei Foreign Studies University, China has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The MoU is signed by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad and President Prof. Sun Jianzhong. PU Director External Linkages Dr. Sobia Khurram, Vice president for International affairs at HFSU and Ms.
Scarlett Liu were also present on the occasion. The MoU focused on student exchange, short-term exchange, training of faculty, joint programs, cultural programs, Chinese language courses, joint seminars and workshops.

The Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (ICET) Assistant Professor Dr Bilal Haider has been elected as Vice President of Pakistan Membrane Society (PMS).
