The Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz has taken a serious note on non-implementation of findings and summoned the heads of Electric supply companies (Disco’s), Capital Development Authority and PHA to explain the reasons of non implementation of findings.
He was chairing a meeting for implementation of findings. The head of implementation wing Shahidullah Baig gave a detailed briefing.
He said that 1966 cases were pending and in 54 cases appeals have been filed before the President, whereas in 7 cases review applications have been filed.
The Ombudsman expressed his complete satisfaction on implementation of findings except few departments.
He informed that pending cases only belongs to CDA, PHA, PESCO and SEPCO. Hafiz Ahsaan Ahmad Khokhar, senior adviser informed that 161 federal institutions and 114 Pakistani missions have been connected with wms CMIS system.
Under this system 19003 cases were registered from January to 4th August 2020, out of which 3011 have been resolved.
The Ombudsman has directed all departments to finalize pending cases within 30 days, failing which all cases would be dealt by tg this Secretariat.
He said that heads of PESCO, SEPCO, PHA and CDA should be summoned to explain the delay in implementation of findings.
