Sindh Minister for Human Settlements Ghulam Murtaza Baloch has said that the provincial government is committed to resolve the issues of drinking water and draining out of sewerage and rain water from the metropolis including district Malir on priority basis. He said that the efforts of Sindh government in this regard are admirable.
He stated this while speaking during a meeting with officials of Karachi Water Board (KWB) on the directives of CM Sindh at KWB office on Wednesday. Vice Chairman/MPA Sajid Jokhio, MPAs Raja Abdul Razaq, Salim Baloch, MNA Abdul Hakim Baloch, Chairman District Council Salman Abdullah Murad, Chairman Jan Muhammad Baloch, MD Water Board Asad Ullah Khan, Xens and other officers also attended the meeting.
Issues of drinking water and sewerage water in the areas of Bhittaiabad, Yar Muhammad Goth, Bhains Colony, Majeed Colony, Future Colony, Jafar Tayar, Bukra Piri Road, Piri, Razaqabad were discussed in detail during the meeting. MD Water Board Asad Ullah Khan briefed the meeting regarding measures taken for dewatering of sewerage and rain water from the area and cleanliness before Mohram ul Haram.
It was decided in the meeting that to resolve the issues of district Malir, Xens would assigned separately for drinking water and draining out of sewerage water, and a valve man would be assigned for Bhittaiabad.
Murtaza Baloch directed MD Water Board to resolve the issues of drinking water and draining out of sewerage water from district Malir. MD Water Board Asad Ullah Khan assured the meeting that all issues in this regard would be solved on priority basis and no stone would be left.
The Provincial Minister said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) served the masses, irrespective of their political affiliations, and believed in serving all. He said that PPP owns Karachi and doing its best to provide relief to the people of Karachi.—INP
