Rescue 1122 firefighters dosed off a huge fire erupted in a warehouse adjacent to ENT ward of Mayo Hospital on Wednesday.
According to rescue firefighters and hospital management, the fire erupted in a warehouse adjacent to ENT Ward, being used for old mattresses, wheelchairs, stretcher and other items.
The fire spread to the whole huge room within no time, and the black billows of smoke, emitted from the warehouse panic the entire area.
On information, rescuer-tenders rushed to the site and started operation.
The fire was extinguished after three hours long struggle. However, no loss of life or injured was reported in the incident.
According to Assistant Commissioner (City) Sadiq Malik, short circuit caused the fire.
He said that the fire caused less financial loss due to stock of old and used items in the warehouse.
