Judiciary is the last hope of the nation to carrying across the board accountability of politicians, bureaucrats, judges and generals and to provide justice to the common man.
However, failure of the judiciary to come up to public expectations will bring about revolution in the country, said Tehreek Tameer-e-Pakistan (TTP) Punjab President Iftikharul Haq Malik Punjab.
In statement issued on Monday, Mr Haq said that his party believes in strict accountability of power ‘mafias’.
He said that in the developed world, accountability of mighty people is being carried out by strengthening anti-graft institutions.
On the contrary, in Pakistan corruption elements who have access to corridors of power are talking about dissolving anti-corruption institutions, which is a matter of great concern, he regretted.
He stressed that Pakistani nation would have to strengthen anti-graft institutions and system if we want to see the country a prosperous and developed one.
He asked the government and opposition to plug loopholes and shorting comings in the accountability system to rein in corruption mafia who are sitting in corridors of power.
