Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Barrister Shehzad Akbar called Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser at Parliament House on Thursday and discussed with him matters pertaining to overall law and order situation in the country and other issues of mutual interest.
The Speaker congratulated Barrister Shehzad Akbar on his appointment as Advisor to the Prime Minister. He said that his appointment was a reflection of confidence reposed in his abilities by the Prime Minister. Discussing the law and order situation in the country, satisfaction was expressed over the overall law and order situation in the country.
Asad Qaiser appreciated the efforts of the Interior Ministry for improving law and order situation in the country in coordination with the provinces.
Barrister Shehzad Akbar thanked the Speaker and praised his impartial role in conducting the proceedings of the House. He said that protection of life, property and fundamental rights of the masses is one of the top priorities of the incumbent government and all possible steps were being taken in this regard.
The Advisor on Interior expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for reposing confidence in him and assured that he will serve the country with his utmost abilities to fulfill the confidence of the Prime Minister.
