Aslam iqbal assures pti traders delegation to resolve their problems on priority basis
Provincial Industries and Trade Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that the traders play a pivotal for the promotion of economy and assured them that their genuine problems are being resolved on priority basis.
Provincial Industries and Trade Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal met with PTI Traders Wing delegation under the leadership of its president Haji Tahir Naveed at PBIT office. Matters pertaining to the problems confronted by traders due to corona pandemic came under discussion during the meeting.
The traders proposed to extend the market timings till 8pm and opening of the markets on Saturdays also.
The minister while talking to the delegation members appreciated that traders play a pivotal for the promotion of economy and assured them that their genuine problems are being resolved on priority basis.
He remarked that corona pandemic has adversely affected every sector including business activities. Aslam Iqbal assured that he would take up the matter before NCOC meeting regarding increasing the timings of markets and opening them on Saturday.
He underscored that all decisions are being taken with due consultations of economic and medical specialists. He disclosed that corona pandemic situation has improved but we cannot let prevention be ignored during the prevailing conditions.
The minister highlighted that we are initiating mega programme of granting soft loans with regard to revival of business being affected due to corona pandemic and launching new business.
Aslam Iqbal emphasized that the agenda of PTI government is to promote economic activities and generate new employment opportunities. The minister lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s smart lockdown policy to impede the spread of coronavirus as this strategy has proved to be successful.
Aslam Iqbal hoped that corona situation would improve in the coming days.
