Saudi Arabia represented whims and sentiments of Muslim Ummah for not calling off Hajj in wake of Coronavirus pandemic; however Saudi authorities made a right decision for holding limited Hajj arrangements. Pilgrims intending ‘Nafli Hajj’ should disburse their Hajj savings among poor and downtrodden segments of society facing economic difficulties in wake of Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, said Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council, President Darul Afta Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday along with Religious scholars of different religious schools of thought, Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi said that some conspiring elements are hatching conspiracies to fan menace of extremism, terrorism and sectarian violence in the country by making propaganda on social media regarding companions of Prophet of Allah and Ahl-e-Baith. Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi also underlined that ‘Paigham-e-Pakistan’ has been drafted with consent of all religious schools of thought and now responsibility rests with the incumbent government to ensure legislation on the draft of ‘Paigham-e-Pakistan’.
He also added that Muslim countries facing anarchist situation and chaos owing to foreign interference in affairs of Muslim countries specifically in affairs of Arab countries. Kashmir and Palestine are burning issues of Muslim Ummah and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should play proactive role to settle Kashmir and Palestine issues, said Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi adding that Libya and Syria demands world attention to seek peaceful solution for these Muslim countries.
On this occasion, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council was also flanked by other renowned Religious scholars including Maulana Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Maulana Nauman Hashir, Maulana Tahir Aqeel Awan, Maulana Aseedur Rehman Saeed, Maulana Abubakar Sabri, Maulana Mufti Hafizur Rehman, Maulana Naib Khan, Maulana Shahbaz Ahmed, Maulana Shafi Qasmi, Sahibzada Hafiz Muhammad Saqib and other leading Clerics.
Addressing the Press Conference, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said that all Religious scholars and Muftis from Pakistan have unanimously issue decree that intending pilgrims who aims to perform ‘Nafli Hajj’ should disburse their Hajj savings for welfare of poor and downtrodden segments of society who have been facing economic difficulties owing to prevailng Coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
The clerics stated that millions of people have become jobless in the country owing to Coronavirus lockdown; therefore all the affluent people should come forward to assist these poor and jobless communities. Owing to Coronavirus pandemic lockdown, Saudi authorities have announced to hold limited Hajj arrangements for current year as Hajj becomes mandatory only in the circumstances with suitable resources and good health, which is not possible in the current year owing to rising suspects of Covid-19 all over the world, clerics maintained.
Therefore, intending pilgrims should distribute their Hajj savings among poor and downtrodden segments of society to seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty by serving the humanity. The clerics also hailed decision of Saudi Arabia for not calling off Hajj arrangements and holding Hajj to a limited scale with permission for limited numbers of Saudis and expatriate people in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj.
