USA, China, UK top three destinations of Pakistani exports: SBP

The United States of America (USA) remained the top export destinations of the Pakistani products during first ten months of current financial year (2019-20), followed by China and United Kingdom (UK).
The total exports to the USA during July-April (2019-20) were recorded at US $ 3351.647 million against the exports of US $ 3371.502 million during July-April (2018-19), showing nominal decrease of 0.58 percent during the period under review, according to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
This was followed by China, wherein Pakistan exported goods worth $ 1410.732 million against the exports of $1484.727 million last year, showing decrease of 4.98 percent.
UK was the at third top export destination, where Pakistan exported products worth US $ 1385.778 million during this year against the exports of US $ 1462.986 million during last year, showing decrease of 5.27 percent, SBP data revealed.
Among other countries, Pakistani exports to United Arab Emirates (UAE) stood at US $ 1374.855 million against $ 1105.142 million during last year, showing increase of 24.40 percent while the exports to Germany were recorded at US $ 1114.750 million against US $ 1083.464 million last year, the data revealed.
During the first ten months, the exports to Afghanistan were recorded at US $ 808.644 million against US $ 985.572 million whereas the exports to Holland stood at US $ 849.958 million against US $ 801.286 million.
Pakistan’s exports to Spain were recorded at US $ 750.415 million against US $ 782.051 million last year where as the exports to Italy stood at US $ 641.612 million against US $ 650.501million.
Similarly, the exports to Bangladesh during the period under review were recorded at US $ 598.759 million against US $ 633.817 million while the exports to France stood at US$ 358.710 million against US $ 376.358 million.
Pakistan’s exports to Singapore were recorded at US $ 155.197 million during the current financial year compared to US $ 225.297 million last year whereas, the exports to Canada stood at US $ 231.109 million against US $244.609 million, to Saudi Arabia US $ 388.119 million against US $ 275.988 million whereas the exports to India stood at US $ 24.922 million during the financial year against US $ 298.196 million during last year.
