DPO Vehari Ehsanullah Chohan said on Thursday that the district police have traced two blind murders, arrested 221 proclaimed offenders, 136 drug peddlers and 83 people with illegal weapons while conducting operations against criminals during the month of May. According to District Police Officer Vehari Ehsanullah Chauhan, more than 159.6 million rupees booty was recovered from the arrested accused. Police have recovered 3723 liters of liquor, 16 kg opium, 17 active kilns were also recovered. Meanwhile, 38 cases were registered over violation of National Action Plan, he added. He informed that Vehari police have traced two blind murders during robberies in Tibba Sultanpur.—INP
