Ramazan and Eid-ul-Fitr 2027 Expected Dates in Pakistan revealed

Ramazan And Eid Ul Fitr 2027 Expected Dates In Pakistan Revealed

KARACHI – Anticipation for Ramadan 2027 is building with first Ramazan expected in early February and Eid-ul-Fitr likely to fall in March, as per latest astronomical predictions.

With just a few months remaining before Ramazan 1448 Hijri, attention is already shifting toward the expected moon-sighting dates, fasting hours and possible Eid celebrations, as families begin looking ahead to one of the most spiritually significant periods of the Islamic calendar.

As per preliminary astronomical estimates, the first Roza in Pakistan could fall on Monday, February 8, or Tuesday, February 9, 2027, while Eid-ul-Fitr is tentatively expected between March 9 and 11.

Ramadan 2027 Moon Sighting Predictions

Event Expected Date
Ramadan 1448 AH new moon February 6, 2027
Ramadan crescent sighting February 7 or 8, 2027
First Roza in Pakistan February 8 or 9, 2027
Shawwal new moon March 8, 2027
Last Roza (29 or 30 days) March 8–10, 2027
Eid-ul-Fitr 2027 March 9, 10 or 11, 2027

Ramadan crescent will be born on February 6, 2027, and birth of the moon, however, does not mean the crescent will be visible to observers on Earth. Depending on atmospheric conditions, the moon’s position and visibility, the Ramadan crescent could potentially be observed on February 7 or 8.

If the crescent is confirmed on February 7, Muslims in Pakistan may observe their first fast on February 8. A sighting on February 8 would mean Ramadan begins on February 9. The final announcement will come from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee after reviewing moon-sighting evidence.

Ramadan’s arrival in Winters could bring favourable weather for fasting. Estimates show that the duration of fasting could begin at approximately 12 hours and 15 minutes. As daylight hours gradually increase, the fasting period is projected to extend to around 13 hours and 4 minutes by the closing days of Ramadan.

While preparations for Ramadan are still months away, excitement is also building over the possible arrival of Eid-ul-Fitr during the second week of March. Initial estimates suggest that Eid celebrations in Pakistan could begin on March 9, 10 or 11, depending on the duration of Ramadan and the sighting of the Shawwal crescent.

Possible Eid-ul-Fitr 2027 Dates Based on Ramadan Duration

First Roza Ramadan Duration Expected Eid Date
February 8 29 days March 9, Tuesday
February 8 30 days March 10, Wednesday
February 9 29 days March 10, Wednesday
February 9 30 days March 11, Thursday

If Ramadan starts on February 8 and completes 29 days, the last fast would fall on March 8, with Eid expected on March 9. Alternatively, a February 9 start followed by 29 fasting days would place Eid on March 10. Should Ramadan extend to 30 days, Eid could shift to March 10 or 11, depending on when the month begins.

Long Holiday during Eid ul Fitr Holiday

With the festival potentially falling in middle of the working week, employees and families could benefit from additional time off if the government announces a three-day holiday period that connects with the regular weekend.

Such a schedule could create opportunities for longer family gatherings, trips to hometowns and domestic travel during the festive season.
