ISLAMABAD – Pakistanis get another relief in fuel costs as petrol prices move closer to Rs350-per-litre mark, extending a series of consecutive cuts that have significantly lowered petroleum rates since the end of October.
For November 6, 2026, petrol has been reduced by Rs9.41 per litre to Rs352.59, while high-speed diesel has become cheaper by Rs5.56, bringing its new rate to Rs382.25 per litre.
November has brought a series of downward adjustments in domestic petroleum prices, reversing part of the steep increases witnessed during previous months.
Petrol, which stood at Rs377.91 per litre on October 31, has now declined to Rs352.59, showing cut of Rs25.32 per litre in less than a week. Similarly, high-speed diesel has dropped by Rs20.71 per litre over the same period, falling from Rs402.96 to Rs382.25.
The latest reduction follows the November 5 adjustment, when petrol was lowered by Rs7.06 per litre to Rs362, while diesel became cheaper by Rs3.71 to Rs387.81.
Pakistan’s fuel market has experienced considerable price fluctuations throughout 2026, with sharp increases followed by substantial reductions. At the beginning of January, petrol was priced at Rs253.17 per litre, providing a relatively stable start to the year.
Prices subsequently climbed as international petroleum market pressures intensified, reaching Rs321.17 in March before surging to Rs458.41 per litre on April 3. April increase saw big price movements of the year. However, the trend began reversing in subsequent months. Petrol prices gradually declined during May before falling substantially in June and early July.
By July 4, petrol had dropped to Rs297.53 per litre, marking a major turnaround from April’s peak. The market then entered another period of fluctuations, with petrol trading around Rs325 to Rs343 during much of August. September brought renewed upward pressure, pushing prices above Rs390 per litre on several occasions.
During October, petrol approached Rs400 per litre before prices started retreating again. The latest November reductions have now brought petrol back toward Rs350, providing further relief after weeks of elevated prices.
