Islamabad Atc Grants Post Arrest Bail To Imaan Mazari Chattha In Altercation Case

ISLAMABAD – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has sentenced lawyer Imaan Mazari and her husband, Hadi Ali Chattha, to 10 years in prison each in a case involving the removal of barriers and interference in official duties.

The court handed down the sentences under three separate legal provisions in connection with the case.

Mazari and Chattha were accused of removing barriers placed at Islamabad’s Zero Point on October 25, 2024, during a Test match between England and Pakistan in Rawalpindi, and interfering with official duties.

The case relates to the alleged removal of roadblocks set up in the federal capital on the day of the cricket match.

According to the case details, formal charges against Mazari and Chattha were framed while they were in custody at Adiala Jail.

The court subsequently announced its verdict, sentencing both individuals to 10 years of imprisonment each.
