Hina Javed Case: Family Urges CM to Form Judicial Commission

Hina Javeds Horrific Death In Rawalpindi Sparks Shock And Outrage Online

Hina Javed’s family has urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to form a judicial commission to probe her murder, rejecting the findings of a police investigation committee.

In a letter to the chief minister, the family demanded an impartial probe, citing concerns over the handling of forensic evidence and the investigation’s methodology.

In a post on X, Maryam Nawaz said the investigation was still underway and assured the family that justice would be served.

Hina, 45, was found dead in the bathroom of her Lal Kurti residence on August 21. Her post-mortem report revealed a neck bone fracture, injuries to her ribs and hip, and blood around the heart.

Police arrested her husband, Faisal Asghar, and domestic worker Zeeshan Arshad in connection with the case, while her father-in-law was also named in the investigation.

Zeeshan’s family subsequently accused police of attempting to frame him as the prime suspect.

Hina’s family also claimed that DNA belonging to her husband and father-in-law had been found on her neck and questioned why her father-in-law had initially reported a theft at the house.
