No Holidays For Officers Of This Department For Next Three Months

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Railways has cancelled all leave for field offers for the next three months as an emergency has been declared to to ensure safe and uninterrupted train operations across the country.

The new directives aim to strengthen operational oversight and ensure closer monitoring of railway services.

Officials have also been instructed to visit the field on Sundays and personally supervise train operations rather than limiting their duties to routine office work.

The measures aim to enhance monitoring of railway operations and ensure that safety arrangements remain in place. The directives require field officers to maintain a more active presence and oversee operational activities during the emergency period.

The development comes after series of train accidents that claimed several precious lives.

Earlier this month, five people lost their lives and several others sustained injuries after the Rehman Baba Express, travelling towards Peshawar, went off the tracks near Sher Shah Railway Station in Multan district on Tuesday, according to officials.
