Gwadar Attack by BLA-BLF: Reality behind ‘Operation Almas’ EXPOSED

Gwadar Attack By Bla Blf Reality Behind Operation Almas Exposed

GWADAR – A reported vehicle-borne explosive attack targeting construction-related camp in Gwadar, with Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claiming major gains while Pakistani security exposed the foiled attempt against already vacated facility.

Security forces responded to incident and killed three militants. Additional suspects were reportedly surrounded at separate locations, including near the camp and a hotel close to the Gwadar Highway, as clearance operations continued. The Gwadar General Officer Commanding (GOC) was reportedly overseeing the response on the ground.

Security sources clarified that no security personnel were killed in this incident and rejected claims that militants had successfully attacked or captured military posts, intelligence facilities, or other security installations. BLF’s prppganda account, which alleged Pakistani military casualties and damage to major facilities, turns out to be Propaganda.

BLF announced nefarious attack dubbed “Operation Almas,” allegedly involving its Sadu/Saddo Operational Battalion and other units. The group identified its principal target as the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) camp at Gwadar Zero Point.

FWO is a Pakistani Army-linked engineering and construction organisation involved in infrastructure development, including projects associated with the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). However, Pakistani accounts described the site as a vacated construction company camp, leaving the operational status and precise identity of the target central to the dispute.

The group further alleged that its fighters entered the compound, raised its flag, destroyed bunkers and offices, and killed a Military Intelligence captain alongside several Special Services Group personnel. It also claimed to have seized a police station and equipment, attacked an army convoy near Gubd/Gabd, and taken control of the Gabd Cross checkpoint.

Separate reports described several trucks being set on fire during related incidents, highlighting the potential impact of the violence on civilian transport and local livelihoods.

Some contemporaneous accounts also reported that trucks, including fruit-carrying vehicles, were burned near Trade Gate 250 in the Rimdan area along the Pakistan–Iran border. Two to three civilians were reportedly injured in vehicle-related attacks. BLF-linked outlets and prppganda social media accounts shared footage as evidence of a major operation against Pakistani military and intelligence infrastructure.

Pakistani sources, meanwhile rejected the group’s claims of extensive security-force losses.

The incident occurred amid continuing violence in Balochistan, where attacks on security personnel and infrastructure-linked sites have repeatedly affected Gwadar and surrounding districts. The BLF and BLA are banned organisations under Pakistani law.
