If motorways or other major roads connecting Lahore with Rawalpindi and Islamabad are blocked or traffic movement is restricted, Pakistan Railways could offer a practical alternative for people undertaking essential journeys.
Trains from Lahore Junction to Rawalpindi operate throughout the day, offering several departure options from early morning to late evening.
Lahore to Rawalpindi Train Timings
The Rawal Express (105UP) departs Lahore Junction at 12:30am and reaches Rawalpindi at 5:00am, completing the journey in 4 hours and 30 minutes.
The Subak Raftar (101UP) leaves Lahore at 7:00am and arrives in Rawalpindi at 11:45am, with a travel time of 4 hours and 45 minutes.
The Awam Express (13UP) departs at 8:00am and reaches Rawalpindi at 1:20pm after a 5-hour-and-20-minute journey.
The Jaffar Express (39UP) leaves Lahore Junction at 10:15am and arrives at 4:00pm, taking 5 hours and 45 minutes.
