LAHORE – The Punjab Provincial Transport Authority has decided to launch a crackdown from October 15 against private vehicles without valid fitness certificates while special instructions have been issued to PVICS centres to facilitate vehicle owners.
Punjab has approximately 2.3 million registered private vehicles, while 20 PVICS centres have been established for their fitness certification.
Lahore has the largest number of these facilities, with 14 centres operating in different areas of the city.

Lahore PVICS Centre Timings
Under the new advisory, PVICS centres are required to remain operational round the clock, seven days a week.
This means vehicle owners can access fitness and related testing services according to the following schedule:
Monday to Saturday: 24 hours
Sunday: 24 hours
Weekly operation: Seven days a week
Daily availability: Around the clock
The authority has also directed the centres to maintain an adequate stock of fitness-testing stickers so that vehicle inspections can continue without unnecessary disruption.
Crackdown on Vehicles Without Fitness Certificates From October 15
The authority’s decision is particularly important for private vehicle owners in Lahore, as enforcement against vehicles without fitness certificates is scheduled to begin from October 15.
