Pakistan’s next match would be against hosts South Africa in Durban on November 3, followed by a highly anticipated clash with traditional rivals India in Cape Town on November 7.

The national side would then face Sri Lanka on November 10 and Australia on November 13, with both matches scheduled in Bloemfontein.

The 2027 World Cup will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia, with 14 teams expected to participate in 57 matches.

The tournament will begin on October 2 in Windhoek, Namibia, with a three-team Super Series. The winner will advance to the main group stage, which begins on October 7 in Cape Town with a match between defending champions Australia and India.

Under the new three-stage format, 12 teams will be divided into two groups of six. Pakistan, India, Australia, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Qualifier A are placed in Group A, while Group B comprises New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh and Qualifier B.

Each team will play every other side in its group once. The top three teams from each group, along with the best-performing fourth-placed team, will advance to the Super 7 stage.

The seven teams will then play a round-robin competition, with the top four advancing to the semi-finals.

The first semi-final is scheduled for November 17 in Cape Town, with the second to be played in Tshwane on November 18. The final is scheduled for November 21 in Johannesburg, with November 22 reserved as a potential reserve day.

Pakistan could face both India and Australia at least twice during the tournament, with another meeting against either side possible in the semi-final or final.
