Security force kill three terrorists in DI Khan operation

DERA ISMAIL KHAN – Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing three terrorists.

Reports said the operation was carried out as part of ongoing actions against Fitna al-Khawarij under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision. They further claimed that the three individuals killed were key leaders of the group.

Security sources said such operations are helping weaken militant networks in the province.

President Asif Ali Zardari praised the security forces for the operation, saying effective actions were contributing to efforts to weaken militant networks. He said operations under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision should continue until terrorism is eliminated.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also praised the security forces for what he described as a successful operation in D.I. Khan. He commended their professional capabilities and said the forces remained committed to eliminating terrorism.

Naqvi also said the nation stood alongside the security forces.

A day earlier, Security forces killed eight India-backed terrorists, including three key commanders, during an intelligence-based operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district.

Security sources said on Sunday that the operation was launched on the basis of intelligence indicating the presence of militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij in the area.
