Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said that our neighbouring country Afghanistan’s soil is being used for terrorism against Pakistan.
Addressing a delegation of senior officers’ leadership course in Lahore on Friday, CM Maryam Nawaz said Afghanistan is our neighbour, which commands due respect. She said a terrorist is a terrorist, regardless of where he come from. Maryam Nawaz said there is no categorization of terrorists. “The situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is regrettable,” said Maryam Nawaz. She said our officers and personnel are being martyred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A Chief Minister’s role is not merely to issue orders but to attend to even the smallest needs of the public, Maryam Nawaz added. She said Pakistan’s positive image is being projected globally.
Government officials must work with honesty and dedication, Punjab Chief Minister said. “We must make our services for Pakistan’s progress and the people truly exceptional,” Maryam Nawaz said.
She said the armed forces are vigorously combating terrorism.
Pakistan gave a befitting response to India during the war, Maryam Nawaz said. She said progress is impossible without improvements in governance, performance, and institutions.—APP
