ISLAMABAD – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has achieved a significant and historic milestone by reclaiming over 1,000 kanals of valuable land worth billions of rupees in Islamabad’s Sector E-12 after more than four decades.
This historic progress has now set the long-pending developmental work in Sector E-12 into rapid motion, CDA said in a statement.
This major success was attained under the dynamic leadership of Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Raza Naqvi and the effective and commendable oversight of the CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad.
The reclamation of over 1,000 kanals of valuable land worth billions of rupees is the result of coordinated and sustained efforts by all wings of the CDA, the MCI Islamabad administration, and Islamabad Police, who successfully executed this operation through close collaboration and coordination with all CDA members, the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Islamabad Police, and relevant Assistant Commissioners.
The coordinated efforts of CDA’s Estate, Planning, Building, Environment, Administration, and Finance wings, along with MCI and enforcement teams, played a key role in resolving longstanding issues and reclaiming the valuable land. The reclaimed land, exceeding 1,000 kanals and valued at billions of rupees, is a vital national and public asset. This reclamation has removed a major obstacle in the planned development of Sector E-12, and now the CDA is advancing the sector’s developmental activities with even greater speed under the approved planning.
Following the successful land reclamation, the CDA has also launched developmental activities in Sector E-12 at full throttle, with the aim of accelerating the sector’s development and completion process in the coming months. Developmental work is underway in the sector to provide modern roads, basic urban infrastructure, and other essential urban facilities, so that future residents can be provided with better and modern urban amenities.
The reclamation of over 1,000 kanals of land after more than four decades marks a significant and major step toward eliminating longstanding obstacles in the development of Sector E-12. This success reflects the CDA’s commitment to ensuring the protection of government land under all circumstances, resolving longstanding issues, removing barriers to planned development, and utilizing valuable land in the best possible manner in accordance with Islamabad’s approved master plan.
Citizens and residents have wholeheartedly welcomed the CDA’s historic reclamation of over 1,000 kanals of valuable land and the initiation of developmental activities in Sector E-12.
