The police arrested six members of a notorious robber gang involved in blind murder, robbery cases and recovered arms and looted valuables worth millions from their possession here on Saturday.
According to details, in line with directives of Vehari District Police Officer (DPO) Ehsanullah Chauhan, Gaggo Mandi police conducted operation against Kamran alias Kami gang in its jurisdiction.
During operation, police arrested six members of the notorious robber gang besides recovering a rifle, four pistols and looted valuables worth 1.5 million rupees including 11 gold ornaments, 3 laptops, mobile phones, motorcycle and cash.
The detainees were wanted by police in dozens of criminal cases and had killed a man upon resistance during robbery attempt in Chak No 243/EB Vehari few weeks earlier.
The DPO appreciated the performance of Gaggo police and announced cash prizes and commendation certificates for them.
