Per Tola Gold Rate Slips Further To Rs4 37 Lac In Pakistan

KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend this week, with the price of 24-karat gold falling by Rs800 per tola to Rs437,336.

On Tuesday, the rate of 10-gram gold declined by Rs686 to Rs374,945, extending sharp correction witnessed in the domestic bullion market over the past two trading sessions.

24K Gold per Tola Rs437,336
24K Gold per 10 Grams Rs374,945

The latest drop came after gold suffered a much heavier loss on Monday, when the price fell Rs12,800 per tola to Rs438,136. With latest decline, gold now sheds a combined Rs13,600 per tola in two sessions, highlighting the intense volatility in the precious metals market.

The decline in Pakistan followed weakness in the international bullion market. The global gold rate fell by $8 to $4,148 per ounce in the latest market figures. International gold has remained under pressure following a major sell-off, keeping domestic prices on a downward trajectory.

Silver also moved lower in Pakistan, with the price dropping Rs20 per tola to Rs6,558. The decline added to the broader weakness in the domestic precious-metals market.

Silver per Tola Rs6,558

The current rate remains substantially below the record levels seen at the start of 2026. Gold prices staged an extraordinary rally in January, crossing Rs550,000 per tola and reaching approximately Rs551,662 on January 28.

In September, the average rate during the month has been around Rs447,000–448,000. The biggest recent movement came on September 28, when gold plunged by Rs12,800 per tola, while the 10-gram rate dropped by Rs10,973. The following day’s Rs800 decline extended the correction.

The latest international sell-off has been influenced by several factors, including movements in US Treasury yields, oil prices, the US dollar and expectations surrounding Federal Reserve monetary policy.

Higher oil prices can add to inflationary pressure and influence expectations about interest rates. Higher interest rates can put pressure on gold because the precious metal does not generate interest income.
