ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC), a state-owned enterprise working under the Ministry of Energy announced one-year Management Trainee Programme aimed at providing on-the-job training and capacity building opportunities to young professionals.
Under programme, PMDC is offering two Management Trainee positions in the fields of Sales & Marketing and Legal. Selected candidates will receive a monthly lump-sum stipend of PKR 80,000 during the one-year training period.
The corporation clarified that the engagement will be purely contractual and will not create employer-employee relationship between trainees and PMDC. Completion of the programme will also not create any obligation on PMDC to offer regular employment to the trainees.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be Pakistani nationals, including candidates holding foreign qualifications, provided their qualifications meet the relevant requirements.
Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree comprising at least 16 years of education, or an equivalent qualification, in the relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized reputable institution.
Other eligibility requirements include:
- Minimum 3.0 CGPA.
- Candidates must have graduated during 2025–26.
- Applicants may apply with or without post-qualification experience.
- The maximum age limit is 28 years on the date of advertisement.
PKR 80,000 Monthly Stipend
Selected trainees will receive a lump-sum monthly stipend of PKR 80,000 throughout the programme.
The training will continue for one year, with the programme designed to provide practical, on-the-job exposure and professional capacity building for young graduates.
PMDC has specifically stated that the trainee engagement is contractual and that there is no guaranteed or obligatory regular employment following completion of the programme.
Selection Based on Academic Record, Test and Interview
Eligible applicants will be required to participate in a written test and interview as part of the selection process.
The final merit will be determined according to the following weightage:
- Academic marks: 30%
- Written test assessment: 40%
- Interview evaluation: 30%
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
PMDC has also stated that no TA/DA will be admissible to candidates appearing for the selection process.
