KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan moved down on September 23, with 24-karat rate dropping Rs1,800 to Rs4.53 lac per tola as international bullion prices also declined.
Gold prices in Pakistan declined further on Wednesday, with domestic rates tracking a fall in international bullion prices. According to the latest rates. the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,800 per tola to Rs453,936. The rate for 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs1,544, settling at Rs389,176.

The latest decline follows a similar movement in the previous session. On Tuesday, gold was priced at Rs455,736 per tola after losing Rs1,800 during the day.
In the international market, gold fell by $18 per ounce to $4,314, contributing to the decline in domestic bullion rates.
Silver prices also moved lower in Pakistan, dropping Rs30 per tola to Rs7,008.
Gold Price Trends
Gold has experienced notable fluctuations in Pakistan during September 2026. The 24-karat benchmark in the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Sarafa market started the month at Rs444,727 per tola on September 1.
The market then rallied sharply, reaching a monthly high of Rs459,540 on September 3. The increase from the start of the month was approximately Rs14,800.
Prices subsequently came under pressure and moved lower through the middle of the month. Gold reached its monthly low of Rs443,647 per tola on September 16.
The market later recovered, with prices rising toward the Rs450,000–Rs451,550 range on September 18–19. The recovery was followed by another decline, with rates moving into the high Rs447,000s by September 23.
The estimated average price for 24-karat gold during September so far stands at approximately Rs449,423 per tola. Market quotations can differ depending on the city, Sarafa market, quotation type and timing. Around September 23, reported 24-karat gold prices ranged between approximately Rs447,000 and Rs452,500 per tola, while the per-gram rate remained around Rs38,500.
Despite the recent correction, gold prices remain significantly higher than a year earlier. The supplied market data indicates an estimated 12–13% year-on-year increase in rupee terms. On a 30-day comparison, however, domestic gold prices are down by around 6–7% from late-August levels, when prices reached the mid-to-high Rs480,000s per tola in some reports.
Gold prices in Pakistan are influenced by international bullion rates as well as movements in the Pakistani rupee, local demand and market premiums.
International gold has recently traded in the $4,300–$4,380 per ounce range. Global bullion prices are also being influenced by movements in the US dollar, expectations about interest rates and Federal Reserve policy, along with demand for gold as a safe-haven asset.
