ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has imposed heavy fines on multiple airlines following complaints regarding poor passenger services and delays in baggage delivery at airports across the country.
PAA said strict action was taken against airlines following 19 reported cases of luggage delivery delays between July 1 and August 15, 2026.
Due to these violations, eight airlines were collectively penalized with fines totaling Rs 1.62 million.
The PAA stated that airlines are being strictly held accountable to ensure the timely delivery of passenger luggage.
Authorities emphasized that continuous monitoring of service standards is underway across all domestic airports, and strict actions will persist against any airline failing to comply with established service regulations.
