LAHORE – Saudi Arabia’s new national airline, Riyadh Air, has announced the launch of direct flight operations to Pakistan, marking a new step in strengthening air connectivity between the two countries.

According to the airline, regular services will begin in August. The first phase will start on August 14 with daily non-stop flights between Riyadh and Islamabad.

The new route is expected to provide improved travel options for business travelers, tourists, Umrah pilgrims, and other Pakistani passengers.

Riyadh Air also announced that direct flights between Riyadh and Lahore will begin on August 18.

Initially, the airline will operate three flights a week on the route, with the possibility of increasing frequency in the future based on passenger demand.

The launch of Riyadh Air’s Pakistan operations is being seen as an important development in strengthening economic, trade, and people-to-people ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

The new services are also expected to benefit Saudi investors, the business community, and Pakistani expatriates working in Gulf countries, while supporting tourism and trade between the two nations.
