Karachi, Sindh Weather: Rains, Scattered Heavy Falls Expected

Intermittent rains with scattered heavy falls are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Friday night and Saturday.

Synoptic Situation

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a depression is currently located over eastern Madhya Pradesh. It is expected to move westward during the next 24 to 36 hours.

Under the influence of this deep depression, monsoon currents are continuously penetrating the eastern and central parts of Pakistan.

Intermittent rains with scattered heavy falls are expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sanghar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad, Karachi, Matiari, Jamshoro, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Khairpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Dadu, Larkana, and Sukkur on Friday night and Saturday.

Heavy rains may cause urban flooding in Tharparkar, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Sanghar, Khairpur, Mithi, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Tando Muhammad Khan, and Tando Allahyar.

Temperatures Outlook

Daytime temperatures in Karachi are expected to remain between 34°C and 36°C on Saturday and Sunday.

Daytime temperatures in Hyderabad are expected to remain between 38°C and 40°C on Saturday and Sunday.

Over the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh.

Karachi recorded a maximum temperature of 38°C with evening humidity at 62 per cent.

Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 40°C with evening humidity at 50 per cent.
