KARACHI – Pakistani actor Fahad Sheikh has publicly apologised to veteran actor Syed Mohammad Ahmed after facing criticism for allegedly mocking him on a drama set.
The controversy began after Syed Mohammad Ahmed shared a video on social media in which he spoke about being ridiculed by a junior actor for his baldness while filming.
Although he did not name anyone, the video quickly went viral, prompting several members of the entertainment industry to express support for the senior actor and call for a public apology from the person involved.
As the incident gained traction online, social media users demanded that the junior actor be identified.
A video of the alleged incident later surfaced, leading to widespread speculation.
Following the backlash, Fahad Sheikh acknowledged his involvement and issued a public apology through an Instagram Story.
In his statement, Fahad said that “half-told stories are always dangerous” because they create misleading narratives. He maintained that the atmosphere on the set had always been friendly, adding that cast members worked together like a family rather than simply as colleagues.
The actor noted that this was not his first project with Syed Mohammad Ahmed and that they had previously shared a warm working relationship filled with light-hearted humour. He said no one had intended to hurt or disrespect the senior actor and expressed regret if his actions had been perceived that way.
Fahad Sheikh added that he had already apologised to Syed Mohammad Ahmed privately. He stated that, as a senior colleague deserving of respect, he had no hesitation in apologising publicly as well.
