PCJCCI urges reliance on official information regarding Pak-China financial coop

Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) has urged the public and media to rely on official sources regarding matters related to Pakistan-China financial cooperation, following the circulation of unverified reports on social media claiming that China has demanded the immediate repayment of loans from Pakistan.

Amir Ali Vice President PCJCCI stated that Pakistan and China share an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership that has continued to deepen over the past seven decades. He stressed that bilateral cooperation spans trade, investment, infrastructure, energy, industrial development, agriculture, and technology, with both countries maintaining regular institutional dialogue on economic and financial matters.

He further stated that bilateral trade between Pakistan and China exceeded US$20 billion in recent years, reflecting the depth of economic engagement between the two countries. The strength of Pakistan China relations cannot be judged on the basis of unverified online reports. Financial cooperation between the two countries is conducted through established bilateral mechanisms and official channels. It is important that investors, businesses, and the public rely on authenticated information rather than speculation.

Amir Ali, Vice President PCJCCI said that recent claims suggesting China has demanded the immediate repayment of loans from Pakistan are baseless, misleading, and unsupported by any official announcement from either government. He added that public should refrain from circulating unverified information and instead follow official statements issued by the relevant

authorities.
