ISLAMABAD – As Middle East continues to grapple with uncertainty and shifting alliances, Pakistan and Kuwait are looking to strengthen their partnership. High-level talks between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah renewed commitment to expanding cooperation in key sectors while coordinating on regional challenges.
Two leaders agreed to accelerate efforts to strengthen their long-standing partnership across a wide range of sectors after Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held high-level talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, in Islamabad.
The meeting, held at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, saw both leaders co-chair delegation-level discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation and reviewing the full spectrum of ties between the two friendly nations.
According to Foreign Office, the two sides explored new avenues to boost collaboration in trade, investment, energy, manpower, agriculture, information technology, healthcare, mining and minerals, defense, and broader economic partnership. The discussions reflected a shared commitment to unlocking fresh opportunities for economic growth and strengthening strategic cooperation.
Both countries also agreed to give their relationship greater institutional depth by enhancing official coordination and ensuring regular exchanges at the highest political and diplomatic levels. The move is expected to provide fresh momentum to Pakistan-Kuwait relations and facilitate closer engagement on issues of mutual interest.
Beyond bilateral matters, the talks covered key regional and international developments, with particular focus on the evolving situation in the Middle East and Palestine. The two foreign ministers exchanged views on regional security and reaffirmed the importance of promoting peace, dialogue, and stability.
During meeting, Kuwaiti FM acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role in advancing regional peace and stability, recognizing Islamabad’s continued efforts to support dialogue and cooperation amid growing geopolitical challenges.
