Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that an additional Rs43.2 billion would be distributed among registered workers under the Maryam Nawaz Rashan Card Scheme during the current fiscal year.
During a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in on Monday, Labour Minister Mansha Ullah Butt and Secretary Danish Afzaal provided a detailed briefing.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said, “I consider the financial security of every labourer and worker my responsibility. We will further increase the number of workers by including in the ration card project,” said Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
She was told that an amount of Rs28 billion has already been distributed among 1.2 million registered workers under the Maryam Nawaz Rashan Card.
Now the total number of registered workers for Maryam Nawaz Rashan Card has reached 14,03063 in Punjab.
Registered workers across the province are obtaining essential commodities worth 32,000 rupees monthly from 62,000 shops.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the Ration Card Program for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
