Chairman Faisal Zahid Malik greets Raisa on assuming PIO office
Principal Information Officer (PIO) Raisa Adil and Pakistan Observer Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisal Zahid Malik on Saturday reaffirmed the importance of close cooperation between the Pakistan Information Department (PID) and the media to promote credible, timely and responsible journalism in the country.
The meeting took place at the office of the Principal Information Officer, where Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik called on Raisa Adil to congratulate her on assuming charge as Principal Information Officer.
Welcoming the Pakistan Observer chief, Raisa Adil said she was honoured by his visit and appreciated his thoughtful gesture of extending congratulations on her appointment as PIO.

She lauded Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik’s longstanding contributions to Pakistan’s media industry, describing him as a respected media leader whose commitment to responsible journalism and efforts to strengthen media institutions have earned widespread recognition.
Raisa Adil stressed that strong media-government coordination ensures the timely dissemination of authentic and reliable information. During the meeting, both sides discussed the evolving media landscape and ways to strengthen government-media cooperation. They emphasized promoting ethical journalism, countering misinformation and supporting responsible communication in the public interest.
Raisa Adil said she looked forward to working closely with media stakeholders to encourage factual reporting and strengthen public trust in institutions. Mr. Faisal Zahid Malik expressed hope that Raisa Adil would continue promoting professionalism, transparency and effective government-media communication. He reaffirmed Pakistan Observer’s commitment to responsible journalism, press freedom and ethical reporting.
